Post-traumatic spinopelvic instability refers to serious sacrum and pelvis injuries associated with high-energy trauma; both emergency stabilization and long-term mechanical stabilization are of great importance in its management. Treatment aims to reduce and stabilize the pelvis and lumbar region using a posterior approach. Lumbopelvic fixation provides strong stability through the fixation of vertebral pedicle screws and iliac screws, but it is invasive and carries a risk of bleeding. Less invasive treatments using percutaneous methods are being developed. In cases of disruption of the anterior pelvic ring, particularly in cases of separation, anterior fixation should be added.
